Tenth anniversary of the German Cleft Children’s Aid Society

Cleft children suffer enormously: deformed, with a speech impairment, often separated and malnourished they stand almost no chance in life. Together we can help these children. Closing the cleft lip or palate costs only about 200 euros. For the last ten years the German Cleft Children’s Aid Society has been enabling surgery and comprehensive treatments of cleft children in all parts of the world. In 2011 our local physicians and partner organisations together with us performed operations on 3,500 children. In our anniversary year 2012 we want to be able to operate on more children and also to improve the situation in the countries for further therapies.
