Odonto-Maxillo-Facial-Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City), National Children’s Hospital (Hanoi) and OSCA (Hanoi)

Our Hanoi-based partner organisation OSCA (Center for Researching and Aiding Smile Operation) was founded in 2007 by experienced local doctors, therapists and nurses. The Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe has been supporting OSCA since 2009. In the meantime OSCA has treated more than 2,500 children with cleft lip and palates at the highest surgical standards. OSCA's special strength lies in its excellent networking between staff and committed people from all parts of the country. This enables the active aid workers to reach out to affected children and their families in even the remotest regions.

In order for cleft children from southern Vietnam to receive treatment on a year-round basis Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe has been cooperating with the Odonto-Maxillo-Facial Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City since the summer of 2016 and since summer of 2019 with National Children’s Hospital (Hanoi). These are co-projects with the Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation (NCF), which is based in Taiwan. Every year the cleft centre in Ho Chi Minh City treats more than 200 children with operations, speech therapy and orthodontics. We also enable doctors, therapists and nurses to receive further training at the renowned Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan.
