Lots of Smiles 2023: Our Christmas fundraising campaign goes into its fourth year! From Dezember 1 to December 31 you can once again earn raffle tickets with a donation.

With your Lots of Smiles donation, you do more than help others. Every donation also is a ticket that automatically enters you into our raffle. With a bit of luck, you could win one of our many exciting prizes.

The proceeds from the Lots of Smiles raffle go towards helping children with cleft lip and palate in our project countries in Asia, Latin America and Africa, funding life-changing surgeries for them.

Aiza was born on November 19,2022 with a cleft lip. She received her surgery on May 27, 2023.
ALi Hossain was born on June 18, 2022 with a cleft lip and palate. He received his lip surgery on March 29, 2023 and his palate surgery on July 20, 2023.Aiza is from Pakistan, Ali from Bangladesch. Both were born with a cleft lip and palate. Both are from poor families. Their parents never would have been able to fund the surgery their children need.
But there is something else that these two have in common, something wonderful: Aiza and Ali are two of some 7,000 children for whom we were able to provide a surgery. This gives them both the best chance to grow up healthy, find friends and go to school.
Aiza after the successful surgery.The surgery, performed by an experienced local surgeon, takes about an hour and on average costs some 300 euros.

Mehdi kommt aus Äthiopien, Aiza aus Pakistan. Beide Kinder wurden mit einer Lippen-Kiefer-Gaumenspalte. Beide stammen aus ärmsten Familien. Ihre Eltern hätten das Geld für die notwendige Operation nie aufbringen können.
Doch es gibt auch noch etwas Positives, das die beiden verbindet: Aiza und Mehdi sind zwei der rund 7.000 Kinder, denen wir dieses Jahr eine Operation ermöglichen konnten. Beide haben damit beste Voraussetzungen, gesund aufzu-wachsen, Freunde zu finden und in die Schule gehen zu können.
Die Operation, durchgeführt von erfahrenen einheimischen Chirurgen, dauert ungefähr eine Stunde und kostet durchschnittlich 300 Euro.

Our Lots of Smiles raffle prizes were donated by businesses, friends of our association and other loyal supporters. A birdhouse, children's teas, a hotel stay at the Easy.Live.Hotel on the scenic Titisee and much more.
You can learn more about our Lots of Smiles supporters and the prizes they contributed in our daily posts on Instagram and Facebook. We will also introduce you to our little patients and show you what a huge difference a surgery can make. There's much to look forward to.
