Extraordinary initiative: PlusDental creatively tackles Coronavirus – and cleft

PlusDental and their parent company Sunshine Smile have been supporters of our work for cleft children for two years now. We value the young company from Berlin, which produces transparent dental splints, as an extraordinarily committed and innovative partner.

The PlusDental team also applied its creativity and social commitment to the current Covid crisis. Their dental laboratory, with one of the largest 3D printer fleets in Germany, started to also put out protective visors. Since March 30th these visors were donated to medical institutions, free of charge. The visors saw daily use at the Charité Berlin, the Hanau Clinic and many others. The 3D printers were staffed by volunteers from the company’s workforce in night and weekend shifts. More than 2,000 of the protective masks were delivered.

And that’s not all: PlusDental informed the grateful recipients of their visors of their support for us in the delivery note, spreading the word about our work to potential future donors. After more than 7,000 visors the successful initiative was now concluded. Equally successful: The final donation balance. 16 children were able to receive their needed treatment thanks to the support from Berlin! Many thanks to Berlin to the entire PlusDental team for their work!
