DCKH supporter PlusDental switches production to protective masks

PlusDental and their parent company Sunshine Smile have been supporters of our work for cleft children for two years now. We appreciate the young  company from Berlin, which produces transparent dental splints, as a committed and innovative partner.

The PlusDental team is now applying its creativity and social commitment to the current Covid crisis. Their dental laboratory, with one of the largest 3D printer fleets in Germany, now produces protective visors. Since March 30th these are being donated to medical institutions, free of charge. The visors are already seeing daily use at the Charité Berlin, the Hanau Clinic and many others. The 3D printers are staffed by volunteers from the company’s workforce in night and weekend shifts. So far, more than 2,000 of the protective masks have been delivered.

And that’s not all: PlusDental informs the grateful recipients of their visors of their support for us in the delivery note, spreading the word about our work to potential future donors. Thanks to this initiative, 12 cleft children can now already look forward to receiving their operation – and new donations continue to come in.

Many thanks to the entire PlusDental team for their great work!
